Why should I hire a carpet cleaning service instead of renting a machine and doing it myself?+−
To keep the manufacturer warranty. Most mills have Carpet Care guidelines that call for a professional cleaning at least once every 18 months, using products, equipment, and systems with the Carpet and Rug Institute Seal of Approval. A rental box does not meet that standard — and it leaves soil and rinse water you paid to get out.
How often should I get my carpets cleaned?+−
As a general rule, a 12-month schedule is adequate. Each house is different. Use the chart below for pets, kids, allergies, and rental turns.

What are the steps that I can expect a certified professional to take when cleaning my carpet?+−
The IICRC S100 standard covers five steps: Dry soil removal — thorough vacuuming with brush agitation before anything gets wet. Soil suspension — preconditioning chemistry, heat, agitation, and dwell time so soil lets go of the fiber. Soil extraction — hot water extraction that actually removes the soil, not just moves it around. Grooming — sets the pile, spreads protector if you want it, and gives an even look for your inspection. Drying — damp carpet resoils, can be a slip hazard, and can grow odor. We extract hard and run air movers so it does not sit wet.
What do I need to do before you arrive?+−
Thoroughly vacuum the carpets before we arrive. That dry soil removal is a big part of the result. Pick up small items, breakables, and anything you do not want moved.
Are your cleaning products safe for people and pets?+−
Yes. Our cleaning products are professionally produced and are safe for pets and people when used as directed.
Do you Move furniture?+−
We will move sitting furniture — sofas, chairs, tables — so we can clean under and around them. Very heavy or fragile pieces are the exception. We will tell you when we book.
How long does it take to complete?+−
Times vary. A small 3-room apartment can take just over an hour. A large 5-bedroom home with two flights of stairs can take up to 3 hours. Specialized spots take longer.
How long does it take to dry?+−
We take pride in shorter-than-average drying times after hot water extraction. As a general time frame it should take no longer than 12 hours. Many rooms are ready in as soon as 6.
Are there any spots that you cannot remove?+−
Yes. They are called stains. A spot is soil we can extract. A stain has bonded with the fiber. We will tell you honestly on the job what will come out and what will not.
Won’t cleaning my carpets make them wear out sooner?+−
No. Regular dry soil removal together with hot water extraction greatly extends the life of the carpet. Grit left in the pile is what saws the fiber off.
Do I need to be at home when you come to clean?+−
You may leave after we arrive. We do like to see the areas of concern first. Many clients have already learned they can trust ACDC Cleaning in the house.
Do you serve my town?+−
If you are in Cache Valley or nearby Box Elder, Rich, or Franklin County, yes. Logan, North Logan, Providence, Nibley, Smithfield, Hyrum, Hyde Park, Richmond, Lewiston, and the towns in between are regular stops.
Can I book online?+−
Yes. Carpet, upholstery, and tile book on our Schedulista page. Afternoon, weekend, windows, house cleaning, and emergencies — call (435) 554-8383.
Are you insured?+−
Yes. We carry liability and property damage coverage, and technicians are screened before they work in your home.
Do I need to tip?+−
No. We reward each technician $20 for every five-star review you share, so the thanks goes to the person who did the work without you digging for cash.
